We release cooking classes in monthly batches and announce them one month in advance. For example, we announce all of February classes on January 1?
Be sure to subscribe to our mailing list to be notified of the exact date and time that the class schedule will go live (the exact day and time does vary).
We have limited seating so our classes sell out very quickly. We recommend setting a reminder and logging on at the exact time.
Heirloom Kitchen prides itself in sourcing ingredients with integrity. When possible we use organic/local produce, dairy, grains, poultry and meat. We have a relationship with Local 130 Seafood, Harvest Drop, Caputo Brothers Creamery, Hauser Hill Farms, Llama Mama Good Farm, Blue Moon Acres, Pat LaFrieda, and Oak Grove Plantation just to to name a few of our sources.
While each class is different, typically everyone will have a station with a cutting board, the necessary utensils, and an apron to wear during class. Additionally, a post-class email which includes the recipes covered during class is sent to each student.
We are BYO and we are also a showroom for Domenico Wines, a California Winery, and offer a boutique wine list at retail price. As a showroom, we are able to offer our guest incredible wines without the typical “ restaurant mark up.” We do not charge any corkage fees. We also offer seasonal frescas—non-alcoholic beverages that you can always BYO spirits for.
We are committed to providing a dining experience that everyone can enjoy. We can accommodate a variety of restrictions, and we do encourage guests to reach out to us prior to their reservation to let us know. We have a limited menu with seasonal ingredients, and will do our best to cater to your needs.
Heirloom Kitchen is designed as multifaceted culinary center. We are a Chef’s Table restaurant Thursday through Sunday when restaurants are most successful, and during the first half of the week, traditionally slow restaurant nights, we are here as a resource to the community, hosting public cooking classes, private events, corporate team builds, etc.
This helps us keep things fresh as well as create and maintain balance—in our staffing, in our hours, in our stress levels, in our quality of life!
Our events range from a girls-night-out to team-building corporate events. We can use our space for networking groups, luncheons, supper-clubs, surprise birthday parties, bridal showers, bachelorette/bachelor parties, rehearsal dinners, and wedding celebrations—just to name a few.
• Featured Chef Instructor, Culinary Assistant, Server(s), and Dishwasher
• Our selection of French china, flatware, glassware and linens
• Ambiance with dimmed lighting with assorted candles and table top arrangements
• The privacy of our entire space with the ability to create your own intimate environment
DJs and small bands are typically allowed when coordinated and confirmed with us ahead of time.
A typical event runs three hours. If you would like to have an event lasting longer than three hours, there will be an additional charge of 20% of your priced out event per hour.
No, at the moment we do not. Our team is mighty but small and we do not have the bandwidth to take on any off site catering.
We are BYO; however, we are also a showroom for Dominico Winery, which enables us to offer their award-winning wines by the bottle at retail prices! Dominico is a family owned and operated boutique winery located in San Carlos, California specializing in Italian varietals. Our wine list is enclosed in the package.
If you know what you are looking for, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you! Most of our clientele come to us because of our style of food and presentation. We encourage clients to put trust in our team and allow us present seasonal dishes that are currently evolving on our menu.
Yes! We have a great relationship with Whole Foods Market in Marlboro (just 4 miles south of Heirloom Kitchen) and they make beautiful custom arrangements. We also love AP Greenery in Asbury Park. The owner, Zac, sources beautiful flowers and plants.
Most classes are about 2.5 hours.
Our starting age for classes is 13 years of age. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children who are not old enough to participate in the class. The pricing for the classes are as published and do not change based on age. If a parent/guardian accompanies their child to a class, they are welcome to stay and wait; however, they must have purchased a seat for themselves if they wish to participate.
The short answer is: No.
We are set up as a residential kitchen, so classes are oriented around a single (albeit large) kitchen island where our chefs will instruct and demonstrate the relative techniques while inviting plenty of hands-on opportunities.
The recipes are cooked communally in collaboration with our chefs culminating in a class meal shared around our farm table.
Yes, a post-class email which includes the recipes covered during class is sent to each student.
Our restaurant has an open floor plan with the kitchen as the main stage.
The chef’s counter is front and center, offering the most up close and interactive experience.
A few steps behind is the back counter, “aka” the mezzanine seats. This communal counter overlooks our kitchen from bar height and you’ll be able to watch the team execute the dishes from start to finish.
The dining room is what you might consider “traditional” dining where you can enjoy a more intimate evening.
If you have a bigger celebration, our farm table can seat up to 14 guests.
We also offer uncovered outdoor seating during the warmer months with heaters for the spring and fall.
There is no extra charge to sit at the Chef’s Counter, and there is not a special tasting menu; our menu is the same for the entire restaurant.
Dominico is a family owned and operated boutique winery located in San Carlos, California specializing in Italian varietals. Their grapes are sourced from all over California.
We typically mail gift cards out within two to three business days. You will receive a physical gift card, a printed receipt, and additional Heirloom Kitchen collateral. Unfortunately, you cannot print gift cards from the website.
Our menu changes with the seasons and according to the inspirations of our chefs. We change approximately one dish a week on our menu, every week. Once a dish is off the menu it will not reoccur. You can always check the menu section on the top navigation bar of our website to see an updated menu.
Our menu is a four course prix fixe, but you are always welcome to include additional courses a la carte. Your captain can help guide you if you want to make any adjustments or have specific dietary restrictions.
We are located in a strip mall with multiple businesses, so there is ample parking, albeit not always right in front of the restaurant.
If you are running late, kindly give us a call to let us know. If it’s more than 15 minutes, we may need to adjust your reservation, cancel, or reschedule.
Gift cards are available for purchase through our website and can be used for classes, dining, wine, or retail products at our Old Bridge location only.
